Upload a few photos of your roof and enter your address. Our system evaluates observable conditions against a structured, mechanism-based framework, measures your roof using Google's technology, and calculates a real replacement estimate from current regional material and labor pricing. No guesswork, no sales pitch.
Every photo is evaluated against the same structured forensic framework — not a salesperson's opinion.

A forensic roof analysis is a structured, photo-based review of your roof's condition. Instead of a quick guess from the curb, every photo you upload is evaluated against the same set of observable evidence — missing material, displacement, wear patterns, and more — so the findings are consistent no matter who's looking or when.
The report applies a structured framework so every conclusion is tied directly to observable conditions rather than assumption or interpretation. A forensic roof analysis looks at your roof the way an investigator looks at evidence — an in depth and structured review of what's actually visible in your photos: missing or lifted shingles, cracking, movement, and damage.
The same checklist runs on every photo, every time: patterns, shapes, sizes, repetition and more. The system focuses strictly on what can be supported by visible evidence, organizing conditions into clear, repeatable classifications grounded in building-science principles. Your photos are used to create a report based on visibly supported evidence.
A clear, photo-by-photo breakdown of the conditions actually visible on your roof.
A consistent, documented record of what’s visible before any work is discussed.
Findings tied directly to supported visual evidence in your photos.

These Terms govern your use of the Forensalytic roof report and estimate service on this website (the “Service”). By using the Service or checking the consent box you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service uses automated analysis, including an AI vision model, to review the photos and address you submit and produce an informational report and a preliminary estimate from that information. It is not a roof inspection, engineering opinion, insurance or legal determination, warranty, or contractor bid. For safety or repair decisions, consult a licensed professional.
If you check the consent box and submit a request, you agree that we may share your contact details, property address and the report or estimate details with one professional roofing contractor so that contractor can contact you about a roof estimate. Contact will come from only one contractor for that request. We do not share your request with multiple contractors.
The contractor may contact you by phone call, text message or email. If you provide a mobile number, you agree that calls and texts may be made using automated technology. Message and data rates may apply, and consent to this contact is the purpose of the box you check, not something you must accept for any other purchase. You can stop texts by replying STOP, and you can ask the contractor or us to stop contacting you at any time.
No guarantee of contact; the report is free either way. Submitting a request does not guarantee that any contractor will contact you. Your report is free whether or not a contractor contacts you, we do not charge you for any contractor’s contact, and receiving a report or estimate does not obligate you to hire anyone.
The contractor is independent. We do not employ, supervise or endorse any contractor, we do not guarantee that a contractor is licensed, insured or suitable, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with a contractor. Check a contractor’s license and insurance yourself before hiring. In California, the Contractors State License Board (cslb.ca.gov, 800-321-2752) lets you verify a license. Many states, including California, give consumers cancellation rights on home improvement and home-solicitation contracts and require written contracts. Read anything before you sign it.
What we collect. Identifiers and contact details (name, email address, phone number), property address, the photos you upload and the report we generate, verification-code activity, and device, browser and usage information that we use for security and fraud prevention.
Why we use it. To verify you, generate your report and estimate, deliver it, share it with the one contractor you authorize, prevent abuse and fraud, answer your requests, and meet legal obligations.
Who receives it. The one contractor you authorize in Section 3, and service providers that help us run the Service, such as hosting and security, SMS and email delivery, mapping and roof-measurement data, and AI analysis providers. Providers may use your data only to provide services to us. We also disclose information when the law requires it.
Retention. We keep personal information only as long as needed for these purposes, and then delete or de-identify it.
Your rights. Depending on where you live, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, you may request to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to access, correct or delete it; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; to limit use of sensitive personal information; and to be free of discrimination for exercising these rights. Disclosure to the one contractor happens at your direction through the consent box. To use your rights, or to withdraw your consent to contractor contact, contact us. We may need to verify your identity, and you may use an authorized agent. California residents may also request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83).
Security. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Response times. We respond to verified privacy requests within the time the law requires (45 days for California, extendable once as the law allows).
The Service is not directed to people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
We send one-time verification codes by SMS or email to confirm your contact details. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts or HELP for help.
Do not use the Service to break the law, submit false, altered or automated requests, scrape or overload it, bypass its security or verification, resell its output as an inspection or engineering opinion, use its outputs to build or benchmark a competing model or service, or submit information about a property you have no right to ask about.
The Service and all reports are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. Some states do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, for lost profits, or for loss resulting from your reliance on a report or estimate or from the acts of any contractor. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or US $100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, willful misconduct or violation of law (see Cal. Civ. Code § 1668), or any rights you have under your state’s consumer-protection laws.
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. These Terms are governed by United States federal law and the law of the state in which we are organized, except that if you live in California or another state whose consumer protections cannot be waived, those mandatory protections continue to apply to you. You may bring a claim in small-claims court where available. Nothing here requires you to waive a right or remedy that the law does not allow you to waive.
Under Cal. Civ. Code § 1789.3, California users of this Service are entitled to the following consumer rights notice: the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs may be contacted in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
We may suspend or stop your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, submit fraudulent or abusive requests, or put the Service or others at risk. You may stop using the Service at any time.
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it is limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest stays in effect. These Terms, together with the privacy notice above, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date shows the current version, and changes apply to requests made after they are posted. Questions, privacy requests and opt-outs: forensalytic.com/contact.
